Info & FAQs

I approach each session with compassion, professionalism, and deep respect for the body’s natural rhythms. Colon Hydrotherapy is not simply about cleansing the colon—it is about creating an opportunity for the body to release what no longer serves you and discover a more natural state of balance. I approach your session from a whole-body perspective that recognizes the connection between stress, lifestyle and digestion.

What to expect during your colon hydrotherapy session

Colon Hydrotherapy sessions at Durham Colon Hydrotherapy are designed to be gentle and supportive. During your session, warm, filtered water is introduced into the colon to help soften and release accumulated waste, gas, and stagnation while supporting digestive health, detoxification, and overall well-being.

Many clients find the experience relaxing and restorative, often leaving feeling lighter, calmer. Sessions are performed with care, professionalism, and attention to your comfort throughout the entire process.

Each person is unique, and recommendations are best determined after your first session. However, many clients benefit from beginning with a series of 3 sessions, ideally scheduled once per week for 3 consecutive weeks.

Is Colon Hydrotherapy safe?

When performed by a trained professional using modern equipment and proper sanitation procedures, Colon Hydrotherapy is considered a safe and gentle therapy for many individuals. Sessions are always conducted privately, professionally, and with attention to your comfort and well-being.

Does Colon Hydrotherapy remove good bacteria?

Colon Hydrotherapy primarily helps remove accumulated waste, excess gas, and harmful bacteria from the colon. While a small amount of beneficial bacteria may also be released during a session, healthy flora can easily be replenished through probiotics and probiotic-rich foods such as fermented vegetables and cultured foods.

Is Colon Hydrotherapy painful?

Most clients find Colon Hydrotherapy to be comfortable and relaxing. At times, mild cramping, pressure, or temporary discomfort may occur as waste and gas move through the colon, but these sensations usually pass quickly.

How should I prepare for a Colon Hydrotherapy session?

  • Avoid eating or drinking for at least 2 hours before your appointment.

  • Eat lighter, nourishing foods like cooked veggies, fruit, whole grains and lean protein for several days prior to your appointment.

Will I be able to work afterward?

Most clients return to their normal daily activities immediately after a session. Many people report feeling lighter, clearer, more relaxed, and more energized afterward.
